AIC started its activities in 1995 by providing short courses for the medical students studying at Semmelweis University, Budapest. Later a one-year pre-university program was designed for those who planned to complete their studies in any medically related field in Hungary. This course was named “Avicenna Medical Foundation Program” or AMFP. Today, those students who complete AMFP with good scores are admitted to many European universities with medical programs in English, including in Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, among other countries.
AIC is also an accredited educational center for NCUK in Europe outside the UK. Programs of NCUK including International Foundation Year (IFY), International Year One (IYOne), and Pre-Master Program (PMP) are the qualifications that enable students to secure admission to a UK partner university upon successful completion of a relevant NCUK program. Other academic courses include business management and tourism and hospitality.
